Descending into the post-apocalyptic underpass of Budapest’s Southern Railway Station, one encounters exactly the sort of creatures one might expect in such a landscape: mutant dogs with two tails.
According to their official mythology, the Two-Tailed Dogs grew their second tails while scavenging on radioactive waste. Judging by the state of this underpass, it may well have been the very dump where it all happened.
As everyone knows, the Two-Tailed Dogs set out to conquer the human world. Had their campaign succeeded, our grandchildren would be watching Planet of the Two-Tailed Dogs instead of Planet of the Apes. But the world as we knew it collapsed, and the Two-Tailed Dogs have now retreated to their birthplace, where they are quietly appropriating the sweetest fruits of the fallen civilization.
