By decree of His Excellency, the Most Reverend [Paolo] Passionei, Presidente delle Strade, it is forbidden for any person of any rank to throw or deposit any trash in this place or square. Violations are subject to a fine of twenty-five scudi for each offense, along with other penalties outlined in the decree issued by the city magistrate [Gioacchino] Orsini on September 23, 1762.
